CONFERENCES

The Association of Serbian Folklorists organizes annual conferences entitled Contemporary Serbian Folkloristics, which have already become traditional. The idea of establishing the Association was initiated at the first conference, held at the Faculty of Philosophy in Novi Sad in 2013. Conferences quickly outgrew national frameworks and gained international status. Through the organization of conferences and the publication of collections of papers based on the presentations given at the conferences, the Association of Serbian Folklorists strives to affirm different approaches to the study of folklore, promote multidisciplinarity and encourage cooperation and exchange of opinions in the academic community in an international framework.
